Ruby Lin (Chinese Name: 林心如; born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan) Ruby is a well-known Taiwanese actress in TV dramas and films as well as a singer.

After ruby parents divorced, she lived with her mother. Since Ruby’s was young, Ruby’s mother took her to Japan yearly to visit her relatives. At the beginning, Lin’s parent did not like her daughter being involved in the entertainment business. After doing commercials for many products, Lin’s parents at last to let Ruby sign with an entertainment management company.

Ruby Lin began her acting career in age seventeen as a part-time advertisement model. Her first TV commercial was for Jasmine Tea. A model turned actress, she has engaged herself in various roles, such as the sassy Jian Ning princess in Duke of Mount Deer 2000, the cruel assassin Cai Yue in Flying Dagger, the gently natured Man Zhen in Half Life Fate and 40+ years old middle-aged woman in her lastest series Ancestral Temple. Lin gained the opportunity to appear in a few Hong Kong films, among them Winner Takes All (2000), China Strike Force (2000) and Comic King (2001). For the most part, she has focused on television, but she will appear later this year in Love Trilogy, a new film co-starring Francis Ng and Anita Yuen.
